Climate Change
Chaired by Richard Brown, Chairman, Eurostar International Ltd.
![]() |
Richard Brown was Chief Executive of Eurostar from August 2002 to April 2010, and is now Chairman. As Chief Executive, he turned their performance around, delivering record passenger numbers and punctuality, and successfully launching the first high-speed passenger service in Britain, overseeing the flawless overnight transfer of services to Eurostar's new UK home at St Pancras International. He was previously Commercial Director of National Express Group Plc, where he set up its UK Trains Division, which - at the time - was the largest UK passenger franchise operator. He has spent 32 years in the transport industry, and was a Director of British Rail's Intercity Division before its privatisation. He is currently President of Railteam and the former President of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. |
- Aims and Objectives
- The main and ambitious objective of the Climate Change Forum was to become the very first Franco-British think tank on this topical and major issue. In order to achieve this goal, the Chamber has brought together key players from blue chip companies who are particularly active in terms of 'Climate Commitments'. To this effect, they have selected - together with the help of Richard Brown - a number of Member Companies who can assist in making this objective happen.
