Steve, an engineer, has worked in the world of energy for over 30 years and has held a number of executive and high level management roles in major international engineering companies.

Born in Stoke and living in Stafford, Steve started as a student apprentice at GEC locally. His career was built in technical and manufacturing roles, leading into senior commercial, general management and executive posts, both in the UK and overseas. Most recently, Steve led the commercial activities of GE Power in Europe, supplying power plants and transmission systems, and was previously the UK Country President for the Alstom Group supplying projects and equipment for electricity generation, transmission and distribution, and also rail transportation.

Steve has always been very active in his local community, having held a number of posts in addition to his day job, including the Chairman of the Board of Staffordshire University, Deputy Chair of Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership and today is a Non-Executive Director at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.

Additionally, Steve is the Deputy President of the French Chamber of Commerce of Great Britain, Advisory Board Member to Strategy International Ltd and a Non-Executive Director of Off-Grid Energy Ltd.
