We will discuss how industry is responding to the call to cut carbon emissions to zero.
The UK was the first major economy to pledge to cut carbon emissions to close to zero. Meeting the target will require the UK to bring all greenhouse gas emissions — excluding aviation and international shipping — to virtually zero by 2050, meaning the country will have to wean itself completely off fossil fuels including natural gas, diesel and petrol. How is industry responding to this call and what specific challenges do they anticipate, in particular in the context of the fast-approaching Brexit?
