Julia advises clients in a cross-section of industry areas, on both contentious and non-contentious data protection, employment law and employee relations issues. She has a special focus on litigation, and compliance issues, particularly in the area of data privacy compliance, and is known for her pragmatic, solutions-focused advice.
Julia’s work includes leading global HR and privacy compliance projects, assisting clients in dealing with data security breach and regulatory complaints, as well as advising on outsourcing arrangements, multi-strand high value employment litigation, drafting and reviewing employment documentation, advising on senior executive terminations and severance agreements.
Julia's recent matters include supporting a leading financial services institution, a luxury brand retailer, and a global defence company with their GDPR readiness programmes, from inception and design of the programmes to the audit of current practices and implementation of change required for GDPR readiness. She also recently advised a multinational chemical company on the development of a data protection compliance framework, including drafting documentation and advising on implementation, working with colleagues in France and Germany.
