Matt Davies has worked for the British Plastics Federation since 2014, leading primarily on regulatory issues including chemical and fire safety regulations. Matt holds a master’s degree in chemistry where he specialised in analytical chemistry, leading to his work with the federation. Matt is also a committee member of the British Standards Institute relating to fire safety standards. Matt also looks after education and skills issues within the organisation as well as industrial health and safety, ensuring that members of the BPF remain up to date on relevant issues while also meeting regularly with UK government departments to discuss regulatory developments. Sustainability is a core part of his work too and Matt is an active member of the BPF Sustainability Committee, ensuring the views of plastics raw material suppliers are appropriately represented.
