La Chambre

The French Chamber & its headquarters turn green!

In another step on the way to meeting its net zero target, Becket House – the headquarters for Bouygues Energies & Services (UK), BOUYGUES UK and the French Chamber – now runs on 100% renewable energy for its electricity.

In addition, Bouygues has installed two electric vehicle charging points on site.

Becket House is certified under ISO:5000, a framework of requirements for companies to develop a policy for more efficient use of energy. To measure the energy used, Bouygues uses Smart Impulse, an intelligent metering solution that uses advanced algorithms to analyse when and why electricity is being used, with real time energy audits. The partnership delivers a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution to help tackle energy consumption across Bouygues offices and contracts.

The development is also a vital step for the Chamber in meeting its own ambitious targets under the pledge we recently signed as a member of the Chambers Climate Coalition. Consequently, the Chamber commits to act towards, and advocate for an effective global response to the growing climate emergency; we've just launched a sustainability hub for this purpose on our website.

At the Chamber, we do believe that the practical response to climate change must be rooted in local businesses and communities, starting with the Franco-British Business community.
