The French Chamber is looking for an intern – Business Consultancy Assistant for its Business Consultancy Department to start from the 26th of June 2020.
With over 135 years of experience in the UK and over 530 member companies, the French Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain is the largest foreign Chamber in the UK and one of the 5 biggest French Chambers worldwide. Its mission is to contribute to developing and fostering economic, commercial and financial relations between France and Great Britain



Key Responsibilities

As a member of the Business Consultancy department, assist the Business Development Manager in day-to-day missions and specific projects:

The intern will manage market research and commercial prospection projects (contacting potential partners on behalf of French companies) in various industries:

  • Sourcing market information (databases, research, etc) in order to assess the potential of a company’s product/service; write a report following the market research, including business recommendations
  • Identifying new clients/potential partners for commercial prospection projects on behalf of French companies (emailing, cold calling)
  • Organising meetings between the company and the potential partner or client
  • Drafting the summary report of the project

Supporting the Business Development Manager in organising seminars and company visits for various delegations:

  • Organising the logistics
  • Drafting communication tools
  • Physical presence & support during the seminars

Managing the administration of the Business Centre:

  • Managing contracts & invoices, monitoring the rented spaces

Other Missions:

  • Occasionally attending conferences, workshops, and meetings with partners as a part of the department business development
  • Any project that is helpful to the department: updating communication tools, answering ad hoc requests, etc
  • Assisting the Company Set-up department: administrative tasks, data management




  • Business School student (last-year internship, interim year) in a European/international program
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Capacity to synthetise information and good listener
  • Organisational skills and proactive
  • Personal or professional experience abroad is preferable
  • Team player and capacity to adapt to different working styles on several projectssimultaneously
  • Confident speaker over the phone, both in French and in English
  • Knowledge of research tools (databases, internet) and data management tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
