The recruitment department of the French Chamber is acting as a recruitment agency for its over 530-member companies, one of which is currently looking for a Client Accounting and Payroll Services Manager.  

Our Client

Our client is a company that provides audit and accounting-related services to meet the needs of clients with operations in both the UK and France. In addition, the firm offers financial due diligence and investigations, tax and company secretarial services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the operations of the Client Accounting Payroll Department, including planning and monitoring
  • Supervising a team of seven accountants (2 Assistants, 3 Seniors and 2 Experienced Seniors)
  • Reviewing monthly management accounts and year-end management accounts
  • Supervising statutory accounts preparation under FRS102 and FRS101
  • Managing VAT, EC Sales, Intrastat returns
  • Overviewing of the monthly payroll production
  • Managing client relationships, communication and administration including billing
  • Managing take on procedures (quotes, Anti Money Laundering checks, engagement letters)


  • At least 5 years of experience working in an Accounting Practice
  • 1-2 years of experience in team management
  • Bilingual French/English
  • ACCA, ACA part-qualified or qualified
  • Knowledge of UK accounting standards, regulations and practices
  • Experience using Sage Line 50, Sage Payroll and IRIS Accounts Production
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Communication and time management skills, and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines

 Location: Central London

Salary: Competitive salary
