Conversation with Michel Barnier

On 28 September, our members met Michel Barnier, former chief negotiator for the European Commission during Brexit, at the Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill.

As the former Head of Task Force for Relations with the United Kingdom for the European Commission from 2019 to 2021, Michel Barnier shared his experience of negotiating and talked about the contemporary issues that link France and the United Kingdom.

The 81 professionals in audience had the opportunity to understand Michel Barnier's vision through the presentation of his book ‘My Secret Brexit Diary: A Glorious Illusion’ published on 27 September. Moreover, a Q&A session allowed attendees to ask him questions about his opinion on the place of Europe, Great-Britain and France in relation to the bigger world.
