Ben Lake MPMember of Parliament

Ben Lake is the Plaid Cymru MP for Ceredigion, having first been elected to Parliament in 2017 gaining the seat from the Liberal Democrats.  He was re-elected in 2019 with a majority of 6,329.

Born in 1993, Ben Lake became Plaid Cymru’s youngest ever MP when elected to Westminster at the age of just 24.  He was educated at Oxford University, gaining a undergraduate degree in History and Politics, and a master’s degree In Modern British and European History.  Lake worked as a Research Officer in the National Assembly for Wales, before being elected to Parliament.

At Westminster, Ben Lake is the Vice of the All-Party Parliamentary Groups on Wales in the World, the Wood Panel Industry, Agroecology for Sustainable Food and Farming, Choice at the End of Life, Beer, Cleaning and Hygiene, Compassionate Politics, Fair Business Banking, Energy Security, France, Sudan and South Sudan.  He is Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Groups on the Western Sahara, Fuel Poverty, and Forestry and Tree Planting.
