Eleni Courea is a deputy editor of Politico’s London Playbook, the must-read morning newsletter in Westminster. She has worked as a political journalist since late 2018, covering a tumultuous time in British politics spanning fractious Brexit debates and negotiations, Boris Johnson’s rise and fall from power, Liz Truss’ brief tenure, Jeremy Corbyn’s troubled leadership of the Labour party and the rise of Keir Starmer.

She has broken major stories from across the political spectrum and frequently writes about Britain’s foreign relations.

In 2022 she was selected as a participant of the Franco-British Young Leaders program run by the Franco-British Council. She grew up in Nicosia, Cyprus before moving in the U.K.
