Emmanuelle Bury is BNP Paribas UK Country Head since March 2023 and a member of the CIB Board.

Emmanuelle has developed a broad and diversified experience in the banking industry over years, starting in the investment banking division in Europe, working in Corporate and Institutional Coverage for 5 years, and Corporate Finance for 10 years, on both large and mid-caps. She had been coordinating large strategic projects for the firm following the financial crisis, before joining BNP Paribas’ Global Treasury department as Chief Operating Officer to lead the transformation of liquidity management under new regulations. She joined the US platform in 2018 in a newly created position to set up a strong Conduct & Control culture in the business, before becoming the Chief Compliance Officer for the Americas.

In her current role, Emmanuelle draws on her international, commercial and management expertise to further the development of the UK franchise. In 2024, Emmanuelle was recognised by Financial News as one of the 100 Most Influential Women in European Finance for the second year.

Emmanuelle is Canadian, Belgian and French, and has lived and worked in various countries. She graduated in Economics from University Paris II and from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and from the College of Europe in Bruges.
