People & Talent Club - Designing the Human Edge: New Roles in the Age of Generative AI

On the 3th June, our members enjoyed a People & Talent Club session with a focus on New Roles in the Age of Generative AI, at Sia.

Christian Howieson, Operating Model & Organisational Design Leader, Enterprise Transformation at Sia , and Charles Ayoubi, Professor at ESSEC Business School, brought together members for an engaging morning of discussion, networking, and knowledge sharing.

During the event, attendees had the opportunity to connect with fellow People & Talent Club members while exploring how generative AI is reshaping workforce design, organisational structures, and the future of work. The session examined how organisations can intentionally create new roles, skills, and team models where humans and AI collaborate to deliver greater value, while addressing the evolving challenges facing People and Talent leaders.

Beautifully moderated by Melanie Stancliffe, Employment Partner at Freeths, the discussion combined cutting-edge academic research with practical business applications, offering valuable peer-to-peer exchanges and actionable insights. The event reinforced the Chamber’s commitment to supporting members with high-level expertise, forward-thinking perspectives, and collaborative learning opportunities as they navigate the future of the workforce.

Many thanks to Essec Business School for sponsoring the event and Sia for hosting it as well as to our speakers and moderator for contributing to such a dynamic and thought-provoking discussion.
