Alex KiplingManaging Director, Infrastructure Finance, Societe Generale (UK)

Alex heads SG’s Infrastructure and Telecoms in based London. This team of 20 bankers finances and advises on financial sponsor and corporate client structured financings across multiple sectors, including transport, PPPs, datacentres, fibre, towers, waste, water, and core plus infra sectors. SG covers Northern European assets from this team, including the UK and Ireland, Benelux, DACH, Nordic and central Europe.

During his time at SG, Alex has led a series of large and/or challenging financial advisory mandates and has arranged debt for both greenfield and brownfield infrastructure projects. Alex has worked with multinational clients and international and local funders in e.g. Netherlands, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia, Greece, Jordan, Kenya, South Africa, and Ireland, as well as in the UK.

Alex joined Société Générale in 2002 and has 25+ years of experience in infrastructure finance. Prior to working at SG, Alex worked with Bank of Scotland and HBOS, also in infrastructure finance.

Alex holds a BSc (hons) in Economics and Politics from Warwick University.
