Patron & Corporate Advocacy Breakfast: Mobility Matters - A Breakfast Conversation on Trade & Mobility with Ben Douglass-Smith, Deputy Director for Trade in Services, Department for Business, Innovation, Science & Trade
Join us for a roundtable with Ben Douglass-Smith, Deputy Director for Trade in Services at the Department for Business, Innovation, Science & Trade

Ben Douglass-Smith, Deputy Director for Trade in Services at the UK Department for Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade, joins the French Chamber for a breakfast conversation on the mobility issues shaping UK–France and UK-EU trade.
As services trade continues to grow in importance for the UK–France relationship, the movement of people — professionals, service providers, and business travellers — remains a key area of interest for businesses operating across both markets.
This breakfast session brings together members and guests for a candid conversation on the current business mobility landscape, the barriers still facing service-sector firms operating across the Channel, and the role that mobility plays in supporting trade in services. Ben Douglass-Smith will share his perspective from inside the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade on developments affecting businesses today and issues that firms should continue to monitor as the UK-France trading relationship evolves.
The discussion will be moderated by Nick Rollason, Partner and head of Business Immigration at Kingsley Napley.
