Sustainability Leads Club: establishing baseline on Scope 3 emissions
Thursday 21st April saw the second session of the French Chamber’s Sustainability Leads Club at the London offices of Schneider Electric
Bringing together a select group of business sustainability leaders, the club serves as a forum for members to learn about, share and discuss ideas about sustainable business strategies.
In this session opened by Alice Williams, chair of the Club, participants discussed the best methodologies to map out Scope 3 emissions, and explored some of the initiatives they can take to reduce these emissions. They exchanged best practice on how to work with clients and supply chains to reduce emissions.
This second club was launched by a presentation by Eloise Cotton, UK&I Sustainable Development Manager at Schneider Electric. She shared Schneider’s methodology to tackle Scope 3 emissions and introduced Scope 4 as a new measure for emissions avoided thanks to the use of Schneider’s technology.
Then, Julie Barlatier-Prieuret, Co-founder and Co-CEO, Barjane presented how her building company succeeds in limiting its carbon footprint thanks to advanced bioclimatic building designs and green energy providing sources, among others.
The event concluded with an opportunity for members to exchange about their own difficulties and their own solutions to tackle Scope 3 emissions.
