The Council of Foreign Chambers of Commerce in the UK will be organising a webinar with The Rt Hon Kwasi Kwarteng MP, UK Secretary of State for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy.

The Secretary of State has overall responsibility for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy bringing together responsibilities for business, industrial strategy, science, innovation and energy. During this event the Secretary of State will comment on how his department is:

  • Developing and delivering a comprehensive industrial strategy and leading the government’s relationship with business
  • Ensuring that the country has secure energy supplies that are reliable, affordable and clean
  • Ensuring the UK remains at the leading edge of science, research and innovation
  • Tackling climate change.

The conversation with the Secretary of State will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with Stephanie Flanders, Senior Executive Editor for Economics & Head of Bloomberg Economics, Tara McGeehan, President of the CGI, and Ulrika Wising, Global VP Customer Solutions Renewables & Energy Solutions at Shell. It will be moderated by moderated by Mark Mardell, Former Radio 4 Presenter, BBC's Chief Political Correspondent & North America Editor.
