Patron event: An evening at the London Philharmonic Orchestra: Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony

We are delighted to invite our Patron members to join us for an evening of culture and informal networking, as we enjoy a performance by our partner the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Our members will have the opportunity to attend a representation of Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony.

From blissful countryside to brooding volcanoes, this concert will be all about nature. And gorgeous melodies.

When Beethoven wanted to unwind, he headed for the countryside, and with its birdsong, mountain streams and summer storms, there’s still no better example of a composer in harmony with nature than his lovely ‘Pastoral’ Symphony. Add Bruch's evergreen First Violin Concerto, played by Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider, and you could hardly ask for more melody in a single concert. But nature is nothing if not dynamic, and Anna Thorvaldsdottir’s CATAMORPHOSIS is charged with all the brooding, volcanic power of her native Iceland.

The music
Anna Thorvaldsdottir - CATAMORPHOSIS
Bruch - Violin Concerto No. 1
Beethoven - Symphony No. 6 (Pastoral)

The performers
Kirill Karabits – conductor
Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider – violin
