From the frontiers of fundamental research to the factory floor, the life sciences sector faces a defining moment. Institut Pasteur's 2030 strategy reflects a broader imperative: that international scientific collaboration — and a robust defence of evidence-based science — is not optional, but essential.

For industry, the stakes are equally high. Companies operating across France and the UK are uniquely placed to bridge scientific, regulatory and commercial strengths on both sides of the Channel. But structural barriers persist: around half of EMA-approved medicines are never launched in Europe, limiting patient access and cooling investment at precisely the moment Europe must hold its own against the US and China.
