Event report

Outside The Frame with Lina Ghotmeh, award-winning Architect and Charlotte Ameglio-Brion, Head of Real Estate, Hermès International

On 8th December, the Institut français in the United Kingdom and the French Chamber came together to host an inspiring edition of Outside the Frame.

We were thrilled to welcome Lina Ghotmeh, award-winning Architect and Charlotte Ameglio-Brion, Head of Real Estate, Hermès International, as they explored the intersection of architecture and sustainability. The Outside the Frame event series explores the intersection of arts, culture, and innovation—and this edition fully embodied that spirit. Lina, renowned for her environmentally conscious and human-centred designs, and Charlotte, whose work at a maison where heritage, creativity, and sustainability shape the future of unique spaces, drew on their experience to delve into how thoughtful design can redefine the built environment with purpose and responsibility.

Together, they reflected on how architecture and real estate could redefine the built environment, balancing tradition and innovation, elegance and responsibility. The session was moderated by Amy Frearson, journalist and editor specialising in architecture and design.

We would like to thank L’Institut Francais for hosting the event.
