The President's Circle Dinner on 4th December will welcome Sylvie Bermann, former French Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

We are delighted to welcome Sylvie Bermann, former French Ambassador to China (2011–2014), the United Kingdom (2014–2017), and Russia (2017–2019).

About Sylvie Bermann:
Sylvie Bermann has represented France in three of the world’s most influential countries, bringing unparalleled insight into diplomacy, geopolitics, and European Union affairs. She currently serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Institut des hautes études de défense nationale (IHEDN) and acts as a consultant for French television channels, offering expert analysis on international affairs and EU matters.

She is also the author of two books:

Madame l’Ambassador, from Beijing to Moscow, a diplomat’s life, presenting her firsthand observations of world leaders including Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin.
Goodbye Britannia, exploring Brexit and the rise of populism in Europe, examining the rejection of expertise, anti-immigration sentiment, and identity politics across the continent.
